Overview

The function of the FOCUS Resource Centre is to support the training, consultation, networking, and information/dissemination needs of the 22 FOCUS Community Projects throughout Ontario. Past experience of the Centre for Addiction & Mental Health (CAMH) with the previous FOCUS Community Projects, combined with work done by the Heart Health Resource Centre and the Community and Health Promotion Branch, identified the need for a coordinating body such as a Resource Centre to enhance the capacity of the 22 FOCUS Communities to meet their objectives.

Under the leadership of the CAMH, the FOCUS Resource Centre will build on the resources and expertise of the partner agencies (the Community and Health Promotion Branch (CHPB), the Ontario Public Health Association's, Alcohol Policy Network (APN), the Ontario Drug Awareness Partnership (ODAP), the Ontario Prevention Clearinghouse (OPC), and the Centre for Health Promotion's, The Health Communication Unit (TCHU)) to provide seamless service delivery to the 22 FOCUS sites throughout Ontario.

Vision

Providing access to capacity building knowledge, skills and networks.
