Objectives

The Focus Community Resource Centre will:

  • build on the existing resources and expertise of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health as well as all partner agencies in the Provincial Resource Centre system, including the OPHA Alcohol Policy Network, Ontario Drug Awareness Partnership, Ontario Prevention Clearinghouse and Health Communication Unit, Centre for Health Promotion.

  • act as a seamless single access point for the 22 FOCUS sites.

  • identify, appraise, collect, monitor, synthesize and disseminate available resources to the FOCUS Communities.

  • assess and augment current skill levels and learnings of FOCUS coordinators, Resource Centre staff and associates, and agency partners.

  • foster networking among FOCUS Communities and between the network of FOCUS communities and key external groups.

  • provide ongoing advice and consultation to the 22 FOCUS Communities.
