The FOCUS Provincial Campaign on Chronic
Disease Prevention was aimed at the dissemination of
information, throughout FOCUS communities in the province
of Ontario, on alcohol risk and chronic disease prevention
and low risk drinking practices. It included chronic
disease prevention messages, based on recent research
showing compelling links between alcohol consumption
and chronic disease and information on low risk drinking
practices, including the Low-Risk Drinking Guidelines
(LRDG).
