Racing Against Drugs. This RCMP program is
offered to Grade 4-6 students in our area. Over a
two-hour period, the students visit a number of "pitstops"
where they take part in short interactive games to
teach them about the negative impact of drugs, alcohol
and tobacco. The students also have the opportunity
to test their racing ability on a large race track
with remote-controlled cars and a strong message on
the importance of staying drug-free to perform and
stay in control.
Here is a sample of the pitstops used in East Parry
Sound in June 2004.

The students created some envelopes with messages which
will be distributed to motorists over the next few months
by the OPP doing roadside checks. Here is a sample of
the messages created.
