Who is the Safe & Sober Community Alliance?

The Greater Kingston Area Safe and Sober Community Alliance is a group of dedicated individuals from the enforcement, education, not-for-profit and health sectors in the community. In the fall of 1998 the Safe & Sober Operator's Coalition along with some new community partners became one of 11 new FOCUS Community sites in Ontario. FOCUS is a provincial substance abuse and injury prevention program funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health. There are now 22 sites in Ontario based in a variety of agencies such as health units and addictions services. The KFL&A Public Health is the lead agency in our area and supports all programs and activities.
