The Objectives for the education forum were:

  • To increase professional knowledge regarding the causal links between alcohol and cancer.
  • To increase professional knowledge and awareness of current alcohol screening and intervention tools and provide a forum for discussion and dialogue between stakeholders.
  • To increase awareness of provincial, regional and local experts and services regarding both alcohol and cancer

This forum has been approved for 3.0 credits as an accredited group learning activity as defined by the Maintenance and Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Certification:
RCPSC: This event is an accredited group learning activity (section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and approved by Queen’s University. (Maximum number of hours is 3).
CFPC: This program meets the accreditation criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been accredited for up to 3 Mainpro-M1credits. Others: This is an accredited group learning activity which provides up to 3 hours of Continuing Education, approved by Queen’s University.
